Developer or investor: different obligations for each
An investment zone is an area established and delineated by a decree of the Prime Minister, whose infrastructure is built by a private or government developer. Zones may be logistics, agricultural, industrial or other. We work with developers on the licence and its obligations, and with investors setting up within an existing zone, handling the procedures through to completion.
• What we review before we start
- Your role in the zone: developer or investor.
- The zone’s status, its establishing decree and boundaries.
- The timetable the developer is bound by under its licence.
- The approvals required to establish the project within the zone.

How we work with you
- Preparing and following up on the developer’s licence application.
- Reviewing contracts between the developer and investors in the zone.
- Incorporating the project company through the investment zones portal.
- Following up on the zone board’s approval and the project licence.
• Points to consider
Before contracting
- If the developer fails to meet the timetable set out in its licence, the licence is deemed void.
- The zone’s board of directors approves projects within the zone, and its chairman issues their licences.
- A project licence may not be assigned without the approval of the zone’s board of directors.
