Technology Zones in Egypt
• Investment Regimes in Egypt
For telecommunications and IT projects
Technology zones are dedicated to telecommunications and IT projects, such as electronics design and development, data centres, outsourcing, software development and technology education. They are established by a decree of the Prime Minister, upon a proposal from GAFI’s board and a request from the Minister of Communications and Information Technology. We assess whether your activity fits this regime and handle the incorporation and approvals through to completion.
• What we review before we start
- Whether the activity falls within telecommunications and IT.
- The tools and machinery the project needs to carry out its activity.
- The special incentives that may apply, depending on the sector.
- The technology zone that suits the project’s location.
